As soon as I walked in the door I knew I was in heaven. The aroma of carefully crafted Italian food was a welcome like no other. I sat next to the open wood fired pizza oven and watched the chefs throwing the pizza dough like pros.
I had a gorgeous hearty dish of tubular pasta with chicken and gorgonzola with a drizzle of truffle oil and it was amazing. I must admit that travel wears me out and I was tired and wanting something that would stick to the sides and this fitted perfectly.
While I ate I chatted to the chef and it turns out he has 3 restaurants here in Queenstown. The others are fine dining and I must say if they are as good as Bella Cucina they will be worth a visit.
For anyone venturing to Queenstown I would highly recommend this little slice of Italy as a place to relax and unwind and taste the good life.
Taking food photos in a restaurant was a bit of a challenge. There didn’t seem to be enough room between me and the wall but I fiddled until I got it. Thank goodness for live-view on the back of the camera.
