As most of you will know I recently spent a few days in New Zealand under the tutelage of Mike Langford and Jackie Ranken from the Queenstown Centre for Creative Photography. A few people asked me some questions about the where and when and expressed a desire to potentially travel across the ditch and take a course for themselves.
For non-photographers this post has probably lost most of it’s interest now so you can just go straight to the pictures below 🙂
For the photographers out there I say… Mike and Jackie are coming to Aus …. and….. they are running a 2 day course in Ballarat in September for only $200!! Believe me – you will not get too many chances like this for such an amazing price. I paid a heck of a lot more than $200 for my 4 days and I had to fly to NZ to do my course so as soon as I saw this I signed up straight away.
The classes are limited to only 16 and I honestly can’t imagine anyone who would not learn something from these amazingly creative and knowledgeable photographers. The details are to be found here. I personally can’t wait 🙂
The above shot was taken on Stradbroke Island on a very stormy afternoon. I had a bit of a play with the umbrella and came up with a shot that I was very happy with.
This was taken out of a plane window as we were flying into a perpetual dawn heading East. I rested the camera against the window and grabbed what I could. I actually got quite a few “clear” shots. I just couldn’t resist the colours.
